[ The Pharaoh was finally at rest. The days of evil spirts, shadow realms and soul sucking were over. And yet, here he is — in some strange city, trying to figure out what the hell is going on. For once, he’s alone. His friends aren’t by his side. And he’s at a loss. Instead of going to the motel as advised, he’s walking the city streets, trying to get a grasp on his situation. And while he may not have book-smarts, or even common sense at times, he is street-smart and so, obviously, the men catch his attention. Back during his street days, he had tailed enough people, ambushed enough people to recognise what was happening.
So he follows the men, who are following the oblivious idiot — who’s just turned and walked into what seems like an alleyway. Really? Joey grumbles under his breath. A part of him wonders why he’s even doing this. It’s not his problem. He has bigger problems to deal with. But he can’t ignore something like this. Not after everything he’s learned by being friends with Yugi. And sure, he'll be outnumbered, and maybe even get his ass kicked for his trouble but he's tough and resilient. He's used to fighting and he sure as hell will give it his best shot.
Rounding the corner and stepping into the alleyway, he winces at the sound of the man’s voice. What a baby! Wait a minute. That baby has a really familiar voice — one he would recognise anywhere because …
