TDM #2
« « « TEST DRIVE MEME » » »
It's discouraging to think how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit. Yet, solace is found in the lies we tell each other, comforted by the peace of knowing that we're not alone in our depravity, and once on this path, sin itself becomes the lesser of two evils masked in a cloud of normalcy. This is how Duplicity has functioned since the beginning. The divide of power and social standing is overt in that Dominants influence the decisions made both publicly and privately while Submissives cater to the rules presented to them. It is the way of Duplicity to assign random designations at birth with no leeway in altering what has been given. Climate in the Up is far stricter than that of the Down; violating outlined personas for a Dominant or Submissive while in full view of others is punished by degree of infraction. In the Down, many tend to turn a blind eye to these sorts of offenses. To counteract the discovery of the Deceit Gene – a natural "negative" response to all stimuli – the L.I.E.S. program was founded. The program had been designed to introduce new subjects to the current environment and test for the Deceit Gene through immersion in Duplicity's standing society. Sexual impulses and encounters increase the chances of detecting the gene within these individuals. Participants are typically released from L.I.E.S. after a year; however, results have remained unsatisfactory and testing still continues. You’re here! Finally! Welcome to Duplicity. After choosing a door and stepping through to the other side, the first thing that greets you are the enthusiastic faces of people in medical scrubs and pristine lab coats. Their enthusiasm translates to eagerness as they strip you of your clothes to perform a thorough examination—you will be healed, bathed, and given a paper gown to wear until your items can be processed and delivered to your residence later in the evening. You are also given a device that accesses the network as well as the time and location of orientation. If you enter Duplicity into the Up, congratulations! You’re a Dominant, which means you are immediately picked up by a limo after processing and taken to your highrise. Here, it is two Dominants per floor with separate apartments. If you enter Duplicity into the Down, congratulations! You’re a Submissive, which means you are directed towards public transportation with the address of the motel you’ll be living in. Here, it is two Submissives per room with a shared common space for all rooms. Either way it's raining! Still. Enjoy your free time until orientation! Participation is mandatory by all new arrivals. |
![]() The day after stepping through the door and participating in orientation, LIERS are assembled together in the Up for a tour of Duplicity in its entirety. Seats are in pairs and randomly assigned to Dominants and Submissives alike. Traveling from Fiddler's Square, the train journeys through various parts of the Up, showcasing society and examples of lifestyle. Along the way, frequent stops are made; a variety of passengers can be seen exiting and entering the doors. A Dominant with a kneeling Submissive takes a seat near the front of the train at one stop. A small group of Submissives board and sit closer to the LIERS at another, all seemingly content in their roles. As the tour continues through the Up, the train passes close to the Market and White Wall Bridge and zips by North Park before heading into the Down and bypassing Red Wall Bridge and South Park. The train makes a "final" stop at Riddler's Square, where inhabitants of the Down are instructed to return to their temporary housing. Those who live in the Up are permitted to stay on the train and revisit the same locations while returning. |
![]() The rain continues to drizzle, but it’s finally slowing enough for the citizens of Duplicity to catch their breath. With the influx of new LIERS, people make quick work of fixing the damages from Tumenalia—a combination of preparation and wanting to welcome more participants to orientation. Typically, travel between the Up and the Down is rather seamless with the use of the elevators, and with the end of the holiday comes a regular schedule for transportation between the two areas of Duplicity. Yet, mysterious powers are at play once again. Or so it seems. Stepping onto the elevators does not deliver its occupants to their desired location; instead, they are ushered into rooms designed to be escaped. There are a variety of themes, but the most popular seem to be Room A, Room B, and Room C. While they follow the usual guidelines for any escape room, there are a few “catches” that might not be noticeable at first. Each clue is only accessible to those of the corresponding designation. Submissives are responsible for unlocking the first and third of the three clues, and even if a Dominant figures out what it is and how to use it, they will not be any closer to escaping unless the Submissive plays a key role in interacting with these clues. Things to note about these rooms: the third clue requires some sort of sexual engagement to be considered “clear” of it. After the allotted time of one (1) hour, if those inside haven’t managed to escape, the Submissives will be removed from the room and the Dominants will remain until they can successfully help the new Submissives escape the room. Each time, the clues will be reset and change; they will never be the same. |
![]() Meanwhile, in the Down, a local charity organization has sent out notices for a black-tie fundraiser to be held during the evening to raise awareness of homeless Submissive children. Invitations are sent via the devices, and there are even fliers posted all across the Up and the Down. If in attendance of the event, the waitstaff will be taking down the names of all uncontracted Submissives; no other explanation of what it’s for is mentioned throughout the evening. And while donations are completely voluntary, any contributions made helps to further the main endeavor of the cause. However, it seems most people are present to network and find someone that might fill a contract slot. So, eat, drink, and dance until it all winds down and everyone decides to go home. The only “catch”? Dominants draw the name of one Submissive to accompany them back to the Up, and those who are left will be paired up for the sake of no one leaving alone. |
Please read carefully. Dominant and Submissive TDM assignments: All characters whose first name begins with the following ( A, C, E, G, I, K, M, O, Q, S, U, W, and Y ) are Dominants. All characters whose first name begins with the following ( B, D, F, H, J, L, N, P, R, T, V, X, and Z ) are Submissives. Players with characters that are a number use the first letter to spell that number. To use this TDM as a door pass please link this on your app and place whether it is dominant or submissive. For the escape room prompt players can make up the clues they find. They may be extremely sexual or something simple like moving a painting off a wall. Also, any locations throughout Duplicity are available for TDM prompts as well! Please remember to mark any necessary content, and have fun!! |
Re: i
"Well. We'd better search then..." She looks around the room and starts examining the books on a shelf. Perhaps there's a clue in here that might provide some context. As she works, she glances back to Nepeta.
"I am Satsuki Kiryuin. Your name?"
no subject
At least that should make it clear she's not human, if that wasn't obvious enough already. While Satsuki looks through the books, Nep rifles through the drawers of the endtables. Most of them don't contain much, and several are completely empty, but honestly to her mind that's all to the good. It means that if she does find something, she can be almost certain it's important.
Naturally, it takes until the last drawer before she gives a call. "Hey, I've got something!" She holds up a small, silver key. Clearly to small for the door, but nonetheless, it's got to be important.
no subject
"If you are not human, then what are you?" Despite her desire to impose a certain formality on the relationship, it's hard not to be curious. Especially when the last non-humans she dealt with were intent on conquering the Earth through fashion. The books, at least so far, seem to hold nothing that she can interpret reasonably as a clue. When Nepeta triumphantly holds up her key, Satsuki smiles.
"Well done, Nepeta." It's said with a touch of a smile and an approving tone, like she's praising a pet for performing a trick. "What do you suppose it matches?"
no subject
"We're called trolls. But not like, those stories you humans have. Totally diffurrent thing. We're race of starfaring conquerors, but I'm just a hunter myself." Just, she says, despite Alternian wildlife being something out of a fantasy author's nightmares.
The way Satsuki responds to her success reminds her more and more of her dear Equius, and she chuckles a little before turning the key over in her hand. "Hmmm... I'd say one of those little jewelry boxes, if I had to guess. Maybe there's one in a closet or something?"
no subject
"I believe I've found the other part of your clue, Nepeta."
no subject
When Satsuki calls her over, Nepeta hops over next to her with a single fluid leap, covering most of the room in that single movement, and looks at the jewelry box. "Purrfect. Well, let's hope the next part's that easy."
And, slightly aware that she just jinxed them both, she unlocks the box, opening it up to reveal what looks like a small piece of cloth.
"Huh. What is that?"
no subject
"...Is there anything written on it?" She is patient. She'll let Nepeta look over the thing before she examines it herself. "Or is there anything else?"
no subject
"Nothing. Nothing obvious, anyway. Does it tell you anything?"
As blank as the fabric is, that at least makes it a very simple clue. Standing there while Satsuki takes it, Nepeta ponders the fabric. It doesn't even seem like a handkerchief, more like a piece ripped off a larger whole or something...
no subject
"I think it belongs to a piece of clothing. Come help me look."
no subject
"Right. I've got this side." Given that Satsuki had already taken the other side that's probably a pointless thing to say. Regardless, Nepeta's as good as her word, sorting through her side as diligently as Satsuki is hers.
Naturally, the item in question is one of the last things they check, a long coat with actually only a few pockets. Nepeta takes it off the hanger and lays it out on the bed so they can double-check, and while there don't seem to be any pieces of it missing, the fabric is exactly the same.
"This is definitely the one." So, time to rummage in the pockets! She checks a couple of them before her hand hits on what she's pretty sure must be the last clue, a few papers. Pulling them out, she smiles triumphantly. "Ah-ha! We're almost done!"
no subject
"Let me see." Not exactly a command, but she expects to be obeyed almost certainly. "Well done again." That Nepeta has not proven a complete liability seems to endear her to Satsuki. She always did prize a quick mind and proactive thinking, even if married to unwavering loyalty.
no subject
Two humans, or human-like creatures. One is on all fours, and the other on their knees behind them. It's fairly obvious what they're doing.
Immediately most of Nepeta's excitement turns into apprehension and nervousness. She more or less mutters the little fact she just now remembered that they were told at the beginning of all this. "Oh, that's right... they did say the last clue would involve something sexual, didn't they..."
no subject
"So they did." She's quiet for a moment longer, then: "If you don't wish to... perform I'm happy to wait out the time. And aside from that I don't think I have the equipment they want me to use," she says rather dryly, though she's made something of a liar as her eyes settle on something she'd missed during their prior search for clues. Hidden among the various perfume bottles and other niceties, there's a rather phallic looking thing colored a soft pastel pink. And hanging above it on the wall... Well that's a harness of some sort, almost certainly.
"Ah." A soft sound of realization. Satsuki's gaze turns back onto Nepeta. "I was in error, it seems they've provided just the equipment required."
no subject
"On my homeworld, about... now in my life, actually, we have something called a filial droid. They go from house to house, collecting genetic material from every troll. Genetic material where... well, the equivalent in you humans would be semen and eggs. But we have no way of getting it without copulating." She hasn't thought of the droids for a long, long time, but perhaps it isn't so surprising that this city would bring them up in her mind.
"I'll spare you the details, but... suffice to say I've been ready for something similar to this basically my entire life. I haven't actually done it before, though." Might as well admit that straight away. She wouldn't want Satsuki to expect more than she can deliver. "So if you're okay doing this with someone who's inexperienced and not even your species... then it's fine. It's not like I was going to get a chance to romance someone first in a place like this anyway."
no subject
"...If you're from an alien world, how well will our anatomies line up?" Practical. The problem is they can dance around it and be awkward until time runs out and they have to go through all of this again, or she can grab the troll by the horns, so to speak, and get this over with.
"I admit that my own experience is rather limited."
no subject
That's a good question, but fortunately Nepeta already knows the answer. "I'm familiar with a couple liaisons between trolls and the humans we know. It's quite possible, though of course we can't reproduce." Which, under the current circumstances, seems like a pretty solid positive.
With their plan of action solidly set, Nepeta shrugs off the massive overcoat covering her frame. Her shirt isn't clingingly tight, but it does show off a slender but well-muscled body, as well as her Leo sign. She cocks her head at Satsuki. "No point standing around talking about it. It'll be easier to figure it out when we can just see each others' bodies, right?"
And she's already moving her hands to the bottom of her shirt.
no subject
"I imagine that you're correct. Proceed." She's not one to be embarrassed by nudity and so starts to strip out of her own clothing. It's simple, fashionable stuff and each layer she removes is neatly folded to be set aside. She glances back to Nepeta as her blouse comes off, revealing a lacy bra. She can't help but look at Nepeta--there's a curiosity that demands to know what the alien looks like naked.
no subject
When she bends down to take off her pants, her legs just underscore that. There's barely an ounce of extra flesh on Nepeta's body, but her muscles are the slim ones of an athlete rather than the bulk of, say, Gamagori.
Aside from her horns and grey skin she looks perfectly human, right down to the opening between her legs. At least... until something right above it, where the clitoris would be on a human woman, starts moving like a tiny little tentacle.
"Oh... Guess the air woke up my bulge."
