[Ralph listens, hearing his issues with it all, but either he doesn't have sympathy or he can't understand why Gavin is behaving this way about it. Then it occurs to him, androids were programmed not to disagree with the situations they found themselves in, but to obey.

Still, he does like Gavin. For a human, and re-education does not sound like a pleasant thing.]


How can they assess you to know whether or not you're complying with the rules? [It's an important question because depending on the answer there may be ways around creating a fuss if Gavin really doesn't want to participate in any of this. Whether he understands them or not, the human clearly has reasons that he does not want to cooperate. That isn't his business to sort out, but if he can he wants to help.]

If you can make it appear that you are following the rules, then perhaps you won't have to?
