As his captors speed him around the city, showing off its dubious wonders, Caspian sees an old woman, kneeling, and in frustration he looks around to see if no native of this place will offer her comfort.

Rising from his seat, Caspian moves to drop to one knee before her. "Please," he says, "there is no need for you to debase yourself. My seat is yours, if you will have it."
Her ardent refusal only deepens his frustration, and he turns to one of his fellow travelers. "How can you stand for this?"

Despite his occasionally fiery temper, Caspian does not actively go out seeking fights. That said, since being brought to this city, he has taken to carrying Rhindon with him when he's out around the city. When he finds a Submissive being forced into the Down by a citizen, he swings into action, drawing his sword and stepping in front of the Submissive.
"My friends, I do not wish you any harm, but if you persist in harassing this good person, I will be forced to intervene."
