Autonomy

Was it luck or fate that brought two figures together? She had heard stories about him, Orpheus of the Underworld, but they were nothing more than gossip among the sea nymphs in Oceanus' palace. Another example of what could befall nymphs aside from forced brides. For Circe, what touched her was that there had been love, something she never got to experience.

While she heard of him, she had never seen him. The moment she saw his name on her device, she had to debate about whether or not this was the man she thought it was. However much she prayed that there was someone from home, there was nothing to guarantee that a mortal hadn't chosen the name for their child.

Once seated across from him, she looked at him curiously, not certain what she was expecting or what could denote that he was the figure of legend. "Where is your lyre?"
