[Of course, Yuu's trademark mop of hair is possibly harder to figure amid the crowds at times, so it might not be such a huge surprise if they missed each other at times initially. Though he's wandering and exploring the area to get used to his surroundings, this place is still so strange to him. It's almost as foreign as when he escaped Sanguinem the first time all those years ago.
Except here, there's no virus that's killed off most of humanity. No Horsemen to deal with, and, at least as far as he can tell yet, no vampires. No livestock situations. There seems to be more than enough for everyone, at least as far as he figures, as he experiences as a Dominant. Whatever that was supposed to mean, given some of this probably went over his head or was easily dismissed the same way he ignored Shinoa's ramblings about repopulating.
His uniform being the only clothes he initially has, probably does help make him stand out, as he explores this strange new place. And, being Yuu, he's probably....louder than he intends with his unintentional outbursts of his initial impressions of it all.]
