"Vampires are hunted in my world, and perhaps it's for the best." Wolf can count on one hand the number of vampires he'd actually trust in charge of humans, and he's only marginally one of them.

"They become too powerful if unchecked, and most humans aren't aware that they exist." It's an easy topic of conversation, one that Wolf doesn't have to strain for, because he knows full well the pitfalls of human livestock, how easy it is for bloodlust to replace the kinder instincts. "I suppose it balances things a bit across the board, that the humans have their world and lives, and vampires must restrain their powers in order to co-exist. Certainly, if the vampires chose to rise up and sculpt the world more to their liking, there would be war. Not necessarily one they would win, either."
